📋 TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using SoulChat ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
SoulChat is an AI-powered mental health and wellness application that provides:
- Voice-based conversations with artificial intelligence
- Mental wellness tracking and insights
- Personalized coaching and support
- Crisis detection and resource referrals
IMPORTANT: SoulChat is NOT a replacement for professional medical care, therapy, or emergency services.
3. USER ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
Eligibility:
- Must be 13 years or older (or age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Must have capacity to enter into legally binding agreements
- Must not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
Account Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information during registration
- Maintain security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized account access
- Use the service only for its intended purpose
4. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
You MAY:
- Use the App for personal mental wellness support
- Share general insights with healthcare providers (with your discretion)
- Provide feedback to improve the service
You MAY NOT:
- Use the App to harm yourself or others
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the AI system
- Share your account with others
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or our team
- Attempt to extract or misuse other users' data
5. SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
Premium Subscriptions:
- Weekly Premium: $9.99/week
- Monthly Premium: $29.99/month
- Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
Billing and Renewal:
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges
- Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID Account Settings
- No refunds for partial subscription periods
Free Trial (if applicable):
- Free trial length clearly stated at signup
- Subscription begins automatically after trial ends
- Cancel during trial to avoid charges
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Our Rights:
- SoulChat owns all rights to the App, AI technology, and content
- User feedback may be used to improve the service
- Our trademarks and branding are protected
Your Rights:
- You retain ownership of your personal data and conversations
- Limited license to use the App for personal purposes
- Right to delete your data and discontinue service
7. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER:
SoulChat is NOT:
- A replacement for professional medical care
- A diagnostic tool for mental health conditions
- Emergency mental health services
- Qualified to provide medical advice or treatment
You Should:
- Consult healthcare professionals for medical concerns
- Seek immediate help for mental health emergencies
- Continue any prescribed treatments or therapy
- Use SoulChat as a supplement to, not replacement for, professional care

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- SoulChat is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for any damages arising from app use
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
- We are not responsible for third-party content or services
- Some jurisdictions may not allow these limitations
9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using the service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. TERMINATION
We May Terminate Your Access If:
- You violate these Terms or our policies
- You engage in harmful or illegal activities
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
- We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)
You May Terminate By:
- Deleting your account in app settings
- Cancelling your subscription
- Uninstalling the app
Upon Termination:
- Your access to premium features ends immediately
- Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
- These Terms survive termination where legally required
11. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may modify these Terms to reflect:
- Changes in our service or features
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Industry best practices
Notice of Changes:
- Material changes will be communicated through the app
- Continued use constitutes acceptance of new Terms
- You may terminate your account if you disagree with changes
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
